On January 10, Ambassador Hou Yue attended the Norway TravelXpo and, together with Ms. Schwach, Head of the Meeting, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibition Department of Visit Norway, visited the China exhibition area, where Ambassador Hou engaged in conversations with visitors.

Ambassador Hou said that China is firmly committed to expanding its opening-up and continuously optimizing measures to facilitate people-to-people exchanges. The visa-free policy for Norwegian citizens visiting China has been extended to 30 days, and Hainan Airlines will soon launch a direct flight between Beijing and Oslo in March. Ambassador Hou warmly welcomes people from all sectors in Norway to visit China for field research, investment and win-win cooperation. Ms. Schwach said that Norwegian citizens have a strong interest in traveling to China and she sincerely hopes that tourism cooperation between the two countries could be further strengthened and people-to-people exchanges promoted.

TravelXpo is one of the largest tourism exhibitions in Norway, held annually in January in Oslo, aiming to showcase tourism destinations, products, and services from around the world.
