On January 14, Ambassador Zhao Xiyuan met with Colm Hayes, Director General of Global Ireland and Economic Division of Department of Foreign Affairs. The two sides had a in-depth discussion on China-Ireland relations.

Ambassador Zhao said that China-Ireland relations have sustained a healthy and stable momentum, marked by frequent exchanges among governments, parliaments, local authorities, and people-to-people interactions, as well as fruitful cooperation across various fields. He emphasized China's willingness to continue fostering friendly exchanges and practical collaboration with Ireland in the coming year. 

Mr. Hayes said that Ireland looks forward to conducting dialogue and cooperation with China in various fields in the spirit of cooperation and mutual benefit, and promoting further development of Ireland-China relations.
