Running up to the Chinese New Year of snake, Ambassador He Rulong visited the representatives of overseas Chinese, students and faculty in Iceland on January 21, accompanied by Counselor Yang Jing and other diplomats from the Chinese embassy.

During the visit, Ambassador He inquired on everyone's work, study and life, listened to their suggestions, exchanged views with them, and conveyed greetings for the Spring Festival. Ambassador He thanked them for contributing to people to people exchanges between China and Iceland in the past year. He said that the well-being of compatriots in Iceland is always at the heart of the motherland. He hoped that they could actively participate in China-Iceland friendly cooperation, while encouraging them to mind potential risks. The embassy will continue to act on the commitment of serving the people through diplomacy and serve the people well. 

Representatives of overseas Chinese, students and faculty in Iceland expressed their gratitude for their motherland’s care and thoughts, and expressed their willingness to bring their own advantages into full play in a bid to make positive contributions to promoting friendly cooperation between China and Iceland.
