On January 21, 2025, the Chinese Embassy in Sweden held the “Happy Chinese New Year” Dinner Party Celebration. Ambassador Cui Aimin and Mrs. Li Lihong as well as nearly 40 Swedish guests from various sectors of society attended the event.

Ambassador Cui highlighted in his remarks the fruitful achievements of China’s high-quality development and diplomacy over the past year. He said that the Spring Festival is a joyous occasion for people to bid farewell to the past year and usher in the new, and to have reunion with their families, and hoped that the guests could immerse themselves in the charm of Chinese culture through its folk arts, savor the essence of Chinese culture through its cuisine, and feel the rhythm of Chinese culture through its music. He also encouraged the guests to continue to actively promote mutual learning between as well as the common prosperity and progress of the Chinese and Swedish civilizations, and add more momentum to the friendly exchanges and cooperation between the two countries in various fields.

Artists from Beijing presented captivating art performances rich in Chinese cultural elements, earning enthusiastic applause from the audience. Guests shared heartfelt stories of friendship and expressed aspirations for future collaboration. The atmosphere is warm, friendly and full of joy.
