On January 31, 2025, Cabinet members appointed by His Majesty took their oaths of office in the Tongan Parliament. Prime Minister Eke, along with cabinet ministers, noble’s and people’s representatives of Parliament, attended the event. Diplomatic representatives in Tonga were also invited.

H.E. Ambassador Liu Weimin extended his congratulations to Prime Minister Eke and the new Cabinet ministers. Both sides had a warm exchange of views and expressed their desire to continue developing the friendly and cooperative relationship between the two countries.
