Chinese Ambassador to Tonga Liu Weimin Visits Tonga National Museum

On 6th February, H.E. Ambassador Liu Weimin was invited to visit Tonga National Museum and had friendly exchanges with Mr.Takau, Chief Executive Officer for Tourism. Ambassador Liu said that China is willing to strength cultural exchange cooperation between China and Tonga to promote cultural integration and mutual learning between the two countries. Keqiutou Site Museum in Pingtan, Fujian, presents the origin and spread of Austronesian, providing a new window for the public to understand Austronesian culture. Tonga National Museum and Keqiutou Site Museum can carry out more exchanges and cooperation.

Mr.Takau thanked the embassy for actively supporting cultural exchanges between Tonga and China, and expressed his willingness to strengthen communication with China, actively participate in cultural cooperation projects between the two countries, and further enhance cultural and people-to-people exchanges. He expressed welcome to the Pingtan Keqiutou Site Museum to visit Tonga for exchanges and exhibitions, and Tonga National Museum is also willing to pay visit to Pingtan.
