On February 11, Ambassador Yan Jiarong led young diplomats of the Embassy to visit Tropic Seafood Company, the largest seafood production and processing enterprise in The Bahamas.

Mr. Frisch, president of Tropic Seafood Company, introduced to Yan and her team the breeding technology, processing facilities, quality control, and export trade of the company's main seafood products such as lobsters and red snappers, and expressed his willingness to deepen cooperation with Chinese partners to introduce more Bahamian high-quality seafood products to China.

Yan thanked Mr. Frisch for the briefing and stated that China's economy shows a positive trend with prosperous prospects in the long run and China’s mega-market offers new development opportunities for all countries in the world, She encouraged the company to actively expand trade with China and to make more contributions to China-Bahamas economic and trade cooperation. Yan also spoke highly of Mr. Frisch’s longstanding efforts in sponsoring the local Chinese communities to hold Dragon Boat Festival annually, which promoted people-to-people exchanges between China and The Bahamas.
