On 13^rd February, Ambassador Liu Weimin met with Prime Minister Hon. Dr’Aisake Eke.

Liu said that over the past years, the bilateral relations have grown steadily with fruitful cooperation in various fields,  delivering tangible benefits to the two peoples. China stands ready to work with Tonga to carry forward the time-honored friendship, deepen political mutual trust, expand high-quality Belt and Road cooperation and practical cooperation, and bring the comprehensive strategic partnership to a new height.

Eke thanked China for its long-term support for Tonga’s economic and social development, stressed that Tonga attached great importance to relations with China, and was committed to deepening cooperation to bring more benefit to the two peoples.
