Chinese Ambassador to PNG Yang Xiaoguang Meets with PNG Minister for Justice and Attorney General Hon. Pila Niningi

On February 18, Chinese Ambassador to PNG H.E. Yang Xiaoguang met with PNG Minister for Justice and Attorney General, Hon. Pila Niningi. They exchanged views on strengthening judicial cooperation between China and PNG.

Ambassador Yang introduced the great significance and strategic deployment of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee, and elaborated on the bright prospects for China’s economic development. He affirmed that in keeping with the “Four Fully Respects” and “Three Nos” principles put forth by Chinese President Xi Jinping in fostering relations with PNG, China will take the opportunities of the 50th anniversary of PNG’s independence this year and the 50th anniversary of China-PNG diplomatic relations in 2026, strengthen practical cooperation in all fields including justice to further deepen China-PNG comprehensive strategic partnership.

Minister Niningi thanked the Chinese government for its long-term assistance to PNG, commended the significant contributions made by the Chinese companies and Chinese communities to the economic and social development of PNG. He said that the PNG government is willing to strengthen cooperation with China in judicial and other fields to the greater benefit of both countries and peoples.
