On February 25, Chargé d'Affaires a.i. Ms. He Fen attended the Closing Ceremony of the Chinese Language Basic Course for Maldives Police Services. Head of Male’ Campus of the National College of Policing and Law Enforcement of the Maldives, Villa College and the Chinese Language Center were present.
Ms. He Fen congratulated the students on completing their studies, and commended the Villa College, the Chinese Language Center and the Maldives police officers for their practical actions to implement the Global Civilization Initiative and promote people-to-people exchanges between the two countries. She said that at present pragmatic cooperation between China and the Maldives continues to deepen. The prospect of Maldivian police officers with a certain degree of Chinese language skills is conducive to providing quality services to Chinese citizens in need and contributing to the development of bilateral relations.
Ms. Waheed, head of Male’ Campus of the National College of Policing and Law Enforcement of the Maldives, thanked the Chinese Embassy for sponsoring this Chinese language training course. She pointed out that the Maldives and China have frequent exchanges in various fields, and learning Chinese well is of great significance to the development of bilateral relations. She noted that police officers with basic Chinese language skills would make greater contributions to promoting bilateral friendship.
