On January 23, 2025, the Chinese Embassy in Kuwait held a reception to celebrate the upcoming Chinese New Year 2025. About 400 guests, including representatives from local Chinese communities, Chinese enterprises and overseas Chinese students, and friends from various sectors of Kuwait, were invited to the reception.

In his speech Ambassador Zhang extended Chinese New Year greetings to the Chinese compatriots in Kuwait. He said the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as its core led Chinese people of all ethnic groups in a concerted endeavor to overcome difficulties and forge ahead in the year of 2024. We have made solid strides in Chinese modernization last year, opening up a new chapter of China’s high-quality development. Standing at the forefront of the times, China’s diplomacy remains committed to a strong sense of responsibility, witnessing the high-standard growth of China-Kuwait relations. Keeping in mind the goal of serving the people wholeheartedly, the Chinese Embassy will continue, in the year ahead, to offer Chinese people and enterprises in Kuwait quality and warm service in a way to convey the care and solicitude of the CPC and the country.

At the joyous reception, overseas Chinese and staff of the Chinese Embassy staged artistic performance, wishing our great country harmony and prosperity.
