Chinese Ambassador to Kuwait Zhang Jianwei Visits Chinese Cadet and Junior Fencing Teams

On February 28, 2025, Ambassador Zhang Jianwei visited the Chinese cadet and junior fencing teams at the Kuwait Fencing Association (KFA) which was in Kuwait to compete at the Asian Cadet & Junior Fencing Championships 2025. Officers of the Chinese Embassy in Kuwait and their families, overseas Chinese in Kuwait, and employees of Chinese institutions cheered for the Chinese teams at the games.

Ambassador Zhang extended a warm welcome to the Chinese teams. He highly appreciated their hard work in training and sportsmanship and wished all athletes good luck at the games. He said their performance will showcase the spirit and perseverance of the younger generations of the Chinese people and promote friendly exchanges between China and other nations.

Vice Director of the Cycling and Fencing Sports Management Center of the General Administration of Sport of China Wang Junyan thanked, on behalf of the fencing teams, the Chinese Embassy for its support and care, saying the entire team will compete tenaciously to win glory for the country.

The Asian Cadet & Junior Fencing Championships 2025 was hosted in the Kuwait City from February 21 to 28, 2025. The Chinese cadet and junior fencing teams finished with 7 gold, 8 silver and 10 bronze.
