On April 2, H.E. Chu Maoming, Chinese Ambassador to Dominica, visited the Confucius Classroom at Dominica State College and held a discussion with members of the China Study Tour Group who had visited China last year. Also in attendance were Mrs. Chen Xiaojun, Counselor and Deputy Chief of the Embassy, as well as Mr. Shi Jianzhang, Chinese Dean of the Confucius Classroom, Ms. Trudy Christian, Dominican Dean of the Confucius Classroom and other teachers.
The group members eagerly shared their experiences from their visit to China, expressing that the trip had been deeply impressive and unforgettable. They remarked that they had gained profound insights into China’s rich history and culture through its historical sites and relics, while also witnessing the achievements of Chinese modernization in its dynamic cities. They unanimously agreed that the Chinese language is not just a tool for communication but a bridge for cultural exchange, and they eagerly anticipate the opportunity to visit China again in the future.
Ambassador Chu commended the students for their reflections on the visit and encouraged them to make full use of the Confucius Classroom as a valuable platform to enhance their Chinese language proficiency, immerse themselves in Chinese culture, and broaden their horizons. He urged them to strive to become young ambassadors of friendship, fostering closer people-to-people ties and strengthening the bond between the two nations.
