On April 3, Ambassador Fan Yong paid a courtesy call to Hon. David Tshere, Minister of Communication and Innovation. The two sides exchanged views on strengthening communication and innovation cooperation between China and Botswana. 

Ambassador Fan introduced the ten partnership actions of the FOCAC Beijing Summit 2024 proposed by President Xi Jinping. China is willing to take the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries as an opportunity to share with Botswana its successful experience in digitization and continuously deepen exchanges and cooperation between the two countries in the fields of communication, e-commerce, talent development and so on.

Hon. Tshere thanks China for its valuable support for Botswana's communication development. He said that Botswana is ready to learn from its successful experience in digitization, and tap the potential for cooperation so as to promote Botswana's course of digital transformation.
