On April 7, the Chinese Embassy in The Gambia held the third China-Gambia Bantaba, inviting Chinese and Gambian artists to perform and communicate on the stage. Attendees included the Strikeast Percussion Ensemble of the Central Conservatory of Music of China, representatives from Gambia's National Centre For Arts and Culture, and its affiliated associations, Gambian musicians, members of China-Gambia Alumni Student Association.
Zhao Shangsen, Chargé d’Affaires a. i. of the Chinese Embassy, delivered remarks highlighting that there are many similarities between Chinese and Gambian culture. The embassy is committed to promoting people-to-people exchanges between the two countries and is willing to use art as a link to advance exchanges and mutual learning among civilizations.
Gambian attendees congratulated the embassy on its successful holding of the China Percussion Concert. They expressed their appreciation to the embassy for providing a platform for artistic exchanges and stated that they are willing to deepen people-to-peopleexchanges and cooperation with the Chinese side to jointly promote the friendship between China and The Gambia.
Chinese and Gambian musicians performed their national music pieces, then jointly performed one classic Chinese music "Jasmine Flower".
