On April 23, Chinese Ambassador to Zimbabwe Zhou Ding attended and addressed the annual International Business Conference during the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair in Bulawayo. Nearly 1,000 participants, including Zimbabwean Vice President Chiwenga, a number of cabinet ministers and representatives from various sectors were in attendance.
In his speech, Ambassador Zhou systematically elaborated on China's approaches and experiences in advancing Chinese modernization and new industrialization. He noted that in the face of unilateralism and anti-globalization headwinds, China’s high-quality development, high-level opening-up and innovation-driven growth have created more cooperation and development opportunities for Zimbabwe and other African countries. China and Zimbabwe will jointly implement the 10 partnership actions to advance Zimbabwe’s industrialization and sustainable development and support Zimbabwe’s pursuit of “Vision 2030”.
Vice President Chiwenga emphasized that Zimbabwe, with its abundant resources and enormous development potential, will further improve its business environment, promote private sector growth, boost industry-academia-research collaboration, and drive economic transformation and industrialization through innovation.
