On April 28, 2025, Ambassador Cui Aimin visited Gotlandsbolaget and held discussions with the CEO of the company, Håkan Johansson, among others.

Ambassador Cui elaborated on the positive trajectory of China’s economy, particularly the progress in green transition and the upgrading of the shipbuilding industry. He commended Gotlandsbolaget for its long-standing and fruitful cooperation with China and expressed hope that the company would seize new opportunities arising from China’s high-quality development and high-standard opening-up to further strengthen business engagement with Chinese enterprises and deepen cooperation in green development, shipping and other fields to achieve mutual benefit and win-win outcomes.

Mr. Johansson gave an overview of the company’s current operations and future plans. He commended China’s achievements in high-end manufacturing and sustainable development, noting that Gotlandsbolaget has greatly benefited from years of cooperation with China. He expressed the willingness to continue increasing contact and communication with Chinese enterprises, and to actively promote collaboration in new energy and green, low-carbon development.
