On May 8th, Chinese Ambassador to the Maldives H.E. Mr. Kong Xianhua pays a courtesy call on Maldivian Minister of Construction, Housing and Infrastructure Mr. Abdulla Muththalib. The meeting was also attended by Minister of State for Construction, Housing and Infrastructure Ibrahim Thoaam Mohamed and Counselor Mr. Zhang Xu from the Chinese Embassy.

Ambassador Kong said that China and Maldives have achieved pragmatic results in cooperation in the field of infrastructure. China will actively implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, further promote the development of projects, and provide assistance in personnel training in the field of infrastructure in Maldives.

Minister Muththalib welcomed Ambassador Kong's arrival and expressed gratitude for China's long-term support and help. He hoped to continue to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the field of infrastructure.
