On 8 May, 2025, Ambassador Huang Shifang paid a courtesy call on the Hon Mr. Dhananjay Ramful, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Integration and International Trade of Mauritius.

Ambassador Huang said that the friendship between China and Mauritius has stood the test of time. In recent years, bilateral relations have steadily progressed, with deepening political mutual trust, fruitful cooperation in areas such as trade and economy, and increasingly close people-to-people exchanges. Looking ahead, China is willing to work with Mauritius to actively explore ways to strengthen practical cooperation across various fields. As the new Chinese Ambassador, she looks forward to enhancing communication and coordination with Foreign Minister Ramful and the Mauritian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to jointly promote the China-Mauritius strategic partnership to new heights.
