On May 9th , Yin Chengwu, Chinese Ambassador to Liberia, met with Cllr. Neto Zarzar Lighe, Sr., the Commissioner of the Liberia Maritime Authority. The two sides exchanged views on China-Liberia maritime cooperation.

Yin said that both China and Liberia are important shipping country in the world. The prospects for economic and trade cooperation between the two countries are broad. China is willing to work with Liberia to implement the shipping cooperation documents signed by both sides, promote exchanges and cooperation in the maritime field, and continuously enrich the content of the China-Liberia strategic partnership.

Cllr. Lighe said that currently Liberia and China have close cooperation in the maritime field. Liberia will continue to expand economic and trade ties with China and deepen the strategic partnership between the two countries.
