On May 10th, H.E. Wang Yu, Chinese Ambassador to Somalia, paid a call on the new Foreign Minister of Somalia H.E. Abdisalam Abdi Ali (Dhaay) and exchanged views on the development of China-Somalia relations.
Ambassador Wang congratulated Minister Dhaay on the assumption of the duty, and said that under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state, China-Somalia relations have been riding the momentum to make positive progress. China is ready to work with Somalia to implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state and the outcomes of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) Beijing summit, so as to facilitate greater development of China-Somalia strategic partnership.
Minister Dhaay thanked China for its valuable support to Somalia and expressed his willingness to establish close working relations with Ambassador Wang to continuously strengthen the friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
