On May 13, Ambassador Hou Yue met with Mr. Even Tronstad Sagebakken, State Secretary of the Norwegian Ministry of Trade, Industry and Fisheries.

Ambassador Hou stated that since last year, under the guidance of our two leaders, China-Norway relations have maintained a positive momentum, with economic and trade cooperation continuously deepening. In the current international situation full of uncertainties, China is willing to strengthen cooperation with Norway in areas such as international trade, green transition, and maritime shipping, jointly addressing various risks and common challenges, and safeguarding a free and open multilateral trading system.

Mr. Sagbakken said that China is an important trading partner of Norway and the two countries share common positions in upholding multilateralism and supporting free trade. Norway looks forward to further expanding practical cooperation with China and promoting the healthy and stable development of Norway-China relations.
