On May 16, H.E. Amb. Guo Haiyan met with H.E. Abdullswamad Shariff Nassir, Governor of Mombasa County .

Amb. Guo introduced the achievements of the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation and President Ruto's visit to China, and expressed her willingness to work with Kenya to earnestly implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state and promote practical cooperation in various fields. She noted that China is willing to actively promote economic cooperation and personnel exchanges with Mombasa County in various fields such as blue economy and tourism.

Governor Nassir welcomed Amb. Guo to her new post, spoke highly of the contribution of China-Kenya cooperation to Kenya's economic and social development. He introduced the economic and social development of Mombasa County and its future vision, and said that Mombasa County hopes to strengthen cooperation in vocational training and welcomes more Chinese enterprises and tourists to invest and travel in Mombasa.
