On May 14, 2025, Ambassador Wu Wei met with T.H. Arthy G. Nena, Lt. Governor of the State of Kosrae, T.H. Gradvin K. Aisek, Mayor of Tonoas, T.H. Rockhudson Tomy, Mayor of Uman, T.H. Ricky Robon, Deputy Mayor of Tonoas of the State of Chuuk. The two sides exchanged views on China-FSM relations and subnational cooperation. 

Ambassador Wu introduced the results of Vice President Palik’s recent visit to China and said that China stands ready to work with the FSM to earnestly implement the important consensus reached by President Xi Jinping and President Wesley W. Simina. China will continue to advance infrastructure projects including road projects in Kosrae and Chuuk based on the one-China principle and deepen subnational exchanges, so as to promote greater development of the China-FSM Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

Nena, Aisek and Tomy expressed appreciation to China for the selfless assistance to the infrastructure construction in Kosrae State and Chuuk State. They said that they will firmly uphold the one-China policy, deepen exchanges and cooperation with China in various fields, and promote the FSM-China relations with greater achievements.
