On 16 May, 2025, Ambassador Huang Shifang paid a courtesy call on Honorable Mrs. Shirin Aumeeruddy-Cziffra, the Speaker of the National Assembly.

Ambassador Huang said that China and Mauritius enjoyed a longstanding friendship. Over the years, both sides have enhanced political mutual trust, consolidated friendship between the two peoples and promoted practical cooperation through frequent exchanges and communications. As the new Chinese Ambassador, she looks forward to enhancing cooperation with Speaker Cziffra and the National Assembly to jointly deepen cooperation between legislative bodies of the two countries, adding new momentum to China-Mauritius strategic partnership. 

Speaker Cziffra noted that Mauritius regards China as a close friend. The National Assembly of Mauritius is keen to develop friendly relations with China and is willing to work closely with the Chinese side to continuously enhance communication at all levels, particularly between legislative bodies, so as to promote fruitful cooperation across various fields.
