On May 16, Ambassador Huang Shifang paid a courtesy call on Hon Paul Bérenger, Deputy Prime Minister of Mauritius. 

Ambassador Huang stated that in recent years, the political mutual trust between China and Mauritius has continued to deepen, and practical cooperation has yielded fruitful results. She expressed her willingness to work with the Mauritian side to explore opportunities for cooperation across various fields, and promote greater development of the China-Mauritius strategic partnership under the new circumstances. 

Deputy Prime Minister Bérenger noted the broad prospects for bilateral relations, and affirmed Mauritius’ willingness to work with China to deepen bilateral cooperation. He spoke highly of China’s active role in international affairs.
