On May 9th, Consul General Chen Li attended the opening reception of the exhibition“Baishi: Inspiration in Ink”jointly launched by the Beijing Academy of Painting and the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, and delivered a speech.

In his remarks, Chen Li highlighted that Boston, as a famous historical and cultural city in the United States, has always been at the forefront of cultural exchanges between China and the United States. The collaboration between the Beijing Academy of Painting and the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, in presenting this exceptional exhibition is a meaningful exchange between the Chinese and American artistic communities. More than that, it is a cultural bridge—fostering dialogue, deepening mutual understanding, and celebrating the shared values that unite humanity.

During his stay in Boston, Chen Li also visited the Peabody Essex Museumand the Harvard Art Museum. The two sides jointly reviewed the history of exchanges and cooperation between the two museums and China, and exchanged views on further promoting cultural exchanges between China and the United States.
