On May 20th, 2025, Acting Consul General in Willemstad Mr. Wang Fanfu paid an official call on Curacao Prime Minister Gilmar Pisas. Senior adviser Mellisa Vasquez was present. The two sides exchanged views on bilateral relations and prospects for the friendly exchanges and cooperation.

Wang elaborated on the historical background of Taiwan problem and China's position, the substantial progress made in China-US trade talks in Geneva and China's opposition on opposing U.S. abuse of tariffs. Pisas praised China's development achievements and recognized the One-China principle, and expressed his willingness to maintain close communication with Chinese Consulate-General and jointly expand practical cooperation between the two sides in various fields.
