Chinese Ambassador to Mauritius Huang Shifang Attends the Grand Final of the 15th "Water Cube Cup" Chinese Song Contest – Mauritius Division

On May 18, the 2025 “Water Cube Cup” Chinese Song Contest Finals was held successfully. Chinese Ambassador to Mauritius, H.E. Huang Shifang, was invited to attend the event and presented the award to the champion.

More than 400 guests were in attendance, including H.E. Dr. Robert Hungley, Vice President of Mauritius; Hon. Ranjiv Woochit, Minister of Local Government; former Vice President H.E. Eddy Boissézon; Members of Parliament as well as representatives from the cultural, business, and Chinese communities. Mr. Yang Jun, Director of the China Cultural Center in Mauritius, also attended the event.

Ambassador Huang extended warm congratulations to the winners. She emphasized that Chinese culture is an integral part of Mauritius multicultural society, and that Chinese songs serve as a vibrant medium for deepening mutual understanding between the two countries. She encouraged all contestants to use music as a bridge to enhance people-to-people exchanges and to help carry forward the enduring friendship between China and Mauritius.
