Chinese Ambassador to PNG Yang Xiaoguang Meets with PNG Minister for Environment, Conservation and Climate Change Hon. Simon Kilepa

On May 22nd, Chinese Ambassador to PNG H.E. Yang Xiaoguang met with PNG Minister for Environment, Conservation and Climate Change Hon. Simon Kilepa. Managing Director for PNG Conservation and Environment Protection Authority Mr. Jude Tukuliya, and Acting Managing Director for Climate Change and Development Authority Ms. Debra Sungi attended.

Ambassador Yang introduced China’s achievements in completing green transition in social-economic development and building up a beautiful China. He said that China and PNG share same positions on environment protection and climate change. China is willing to further strengthen cooperation with PNG in addressing climate change, protecting the ecological environment, and promoting green development, to build a community with a shared future for mankind together.

Minister Kilepa thanked China for its valuable support to PNG’s economic and social development, environmental protection effort and climate change responses. He said that PNG looks forward to strengthening cooperation with China and learning from China’s experience and technology in related fields to the greater benefits for PNG people.
