Chinese Ambassador to Sweden Cui Aimin Attends Embassy Film Reception Celebrating the 75th Anniversary of China-Sweden Diplomatic Relations

On May 24, 2025, Ambassador Cui Aimin attended a film reception hosted by the Embassy to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the People’s Republic of China and Sweden. Over 600 guests, including Swedish friends from all walks of life, overseas Chinese, representatives of Chinese enterprises and institutions, and Chinese students in Sweden, gathered to celebrate the friendship and enjoy the Chinese animated film Ne Zha 2.

In his remarks, Ambassador Cui reviewed the development of bilateral relations and cooperation across various fields since the establishment of diplomatic ties 75 years ago. He noted that Ne Zha 2 tells a touching story of self-betterment and defiance, embodying the spirit of unity in the face of challenges. He expressed hope that the audience would gain a deeper appreciation for the profound and rich Chinese culture through the film, and feel the enduring friendship between China and Sweden, as the two countries work together toward a brighter future.
