On May 25, 2025, the Chinese Consulate-General in Perth held a symposium to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression. Consul-General Long Dingbin attended the event and delivered a speech. Over 20 participants, including representatives of Chinese  World War II veterans descendants, were present.

CG Long stated that this year marks the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War, as well as the 80th anniversary of the recovery of Taiwan province. Eighty years ago, the Chinese people made enormous sacrifices to safeguard national sovereignty and territorial integrity, contributing significantly to the global fight against fascism. China’s recovery of Taiwan province was a key outcome of the victory in World War II and an essential part of the postwar international order. The trend toward China's reunification is unstoppable.

Representatives of Chinese WWII veteran descendants shared heroic stories of their revolutionary forebears efforts of resistance against Japanese aggression. Together, the participants honored history, paid tribute to the fallen, and looked forward to the future.

On April 25, CG Long also visited the contingent of Chinese WWII veterans descendants who participated in the ANZAC Day parade in Western Australia for the sixth time, encouraging them to continue promoting the Great Spirit of the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and telling China’s story well.
