On June 1st, 2025, Acting Consul General in Willemstad Mr. Wang Fanfu attended Children's Day Joint Celebration held by Curacao Chinese School and Kolegio Nechi Pieters. About 130 people including principals, teachers and students from both schools, and reporters were present.

Acting Consul General Wang sent his greetings to the teachers and students, saying that he was pleased to see the two schools celebrate the Children's Day together for the first time, and hoped the two schools will continue to strengthen exchanges and enhance friendship in the future. Wang stressed that China is actively promoting language and cultural exchange as key components of the Belt and Road Initiative. Chinese President Xi Jinping proposed the Global Civilization Initiative(GCI) to convey to the world China's sincere desire to promote exchanges and mutual understanding among different civilizations and advance human civilization. Wang encouraged the students to study hard and serve as envoys of friendship between the two peoples.
