Chinese Ambassador to Sweden Cui Aimin Attends Embassy’s Concert Reception Celebrating the 75th Anniversary of China-Sweden Diplomatic Relations

On June 1, 2025, Ambassador Cui Aimin attended a concert reception held by the Chinese Embassy to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the People’s Republic of China and Sweden. Approximately 300 guests attended the event, including State Secretary for Foreign Affairs of Sweden Dag Hartelius, friends from various sectors of Swedish society, as well as representatives of overseas Chinese, Chinese companies and institutions, and Chinese students studying in Sweden.

In his remarks, Ambassador Cui stated that over the past 75 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations, political mutual trust between China and Sweden has been continuously cemented, practical cooperation has deepened and expanded, and cultural and people-to-people exchanges have borne fruitful results. Looking back on the history, mutual respect, independence and self-reliance, mutual benefit, and exchange and cooperation have been the most important principles and experiences in the development of bilateral relations. Looking ahead, China is willing to work with Sweden to jointly act as practitioners of mutual respect and mutual trust, promoters of mutually beneficial cooperation, advocates of mutual learning among civilizations, and defenders of multilateralism, together writing a new chapter of better mutual understanding, deeper friendship, and greater shared prosperity between the Chinese and Swedish peoples.

At the reception, artists from both countries presented a spectacular concert. The atmosphere was warm and vibrant, with continuous applause throughout the performance. Guests spoke highly of the fruitful achievements in China-Sweden relations and expressed their best wishes for everlasting friendship between the two nations.
