On June 3, 2025, Long Dingbin,Consul General of the People’s Republic of China in Perth, attended and addressed the “China-Australia Cooperation and Exchange(Perth) Promotion Conference” hosted by Jiangxi Province. The event was attended by over 50 participants, including Lu Xiaoqing, Head of the Publicity Department of Jiangxi Province;Hon Stephen Dawson MLC,Minister for Regional Development; Ports; Science and Innovation; Medical Research; Kimberley;Representing WA Premier Roger Cook, Ms Libby Mettam MLA,Deputy Leader of the Opposition,Mr Yaz Mubarakai MLA, Mr Bruce Reynolds,Acting Lord Mayor of the City of Perth ,and representatives from local business and industry associations.

Consul General Long stated that subnational exchanges serve as a cornerstone for China-Australia relations. Noting the complementary strengths and immense cooperation potential between Jiangxi and Western Australia, he affirmed the Consulate General’s readiness to support exchanges and cooperation across various fields between the two places.

Lu Xiaoqing introduced Jiangxi’s history, cultural resources, ecological advantages, industrial development, and business environment, expressing hopes for multi-field cooperation with Australia.Dawson and others expressed their support for cooperation and exchanges with Jiangxi.
