On June 3, 2025, Ambassador to Brunei Xiao Jianguo visited Muara Port to welcome and meet with the Chinese naval vessel Changbaishan, which was making a technical stopover. He was accompanied by Senior Colonel Dai Qilin, the Defense Attaché to Brunei. Embassy staff and representatives from Chinese enterprises were also present at the port to greet the ship.
Ambassador Xiao boarded the vessel and extended his regards to the officers and crew. He welcomed the ship's technical stopover at Muara Port and expressed high respect for all personnel who had just completed the China-Cambodia "Golden Dragon-2025" joint exercise. He encouraged them to continue their efforts and serve as "ambassadors of friendship" for the bilateral and military relations between China and Brunei.
