Consul General Chen Shijie attended the celebration marking the 65th anniversary of the founding of the Auckland Chinese Community Centre on 7 June. New Zealand Members of Parliament Carlos Cheung and Nancy Lu, along with nearly 200 representatives from various sectors in the consular district, participated in the event.
Chen congratulated the Auckland Chinese Community Centre on its 65th anniversary and spoke highly of its contribution to actively integrating into local society, promoting the fine traditional Chinese culture, and enhancing friendly exchanges and cooperation between China and New Zealand. He encouraged the Centre to continue to leverage its own advantages to make new contributions to the modernization drive of the ancestral country and further deepening and solidifying of China-New Zealand relations.
