On June 12th, Chinese Ambassador to the Maldives H.E. Mr. Kong Xianhua pays a call on Governor of Maldives Monetary Authority Mr. Ahmed Munawar. The meeting was also attended by Counselor Mr. Zhang Xu from the Chinese Embassy.

Ambassador Kong said strengthening financial cooperation is an important consensus reached by the leaders of China and Maldives. China supports exchanges and cooperation between Chinese financial institutions of both sides, provides support for further implementation of the local currency settlement agreement, and promotes the deepening and solidification of China-Maldives relations.

Governor Munawar thanked China for its long-term support and assistance to Maldives, and looked forward to further deepening financial cooperation with China, pushing Maldives-China relations to a new level, and better benefiting the people of the two countries.
