On 17th June, H.E. Wang Yu, Chinese Ambassador to Somalia, met with H.E. Abdisalam Abdi Ali (Dhaay), Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Somalia to exchange views on the development of China-Somalia relations.

Ambassador Wang congratulated Minister Dhaay on his successful attendance at the Ministerial Meeting of Coordinators on the Implementation of the Follow-up Actions of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) held in Changsha and fruitful meeting with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi. Ambassador Wang emphasized that under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state, China-Somalia relations have achieved positive progress. China is ready to work with Somalia to advance the development of China-Somalia relations.

Minister Dhaay highly appreciated China's important measures to further expand openness and cooperation with Africa. He said that Somalia will work closely with China to deliver more benefits to people on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
