On June 17, Chinese Ambassador to Singapore Cao Zhongming attended Bloomberg's “Invest in Asia Series: Spotlight on China” and delivered a keynote speech upon invitation. More than 150 financial practitioners and investors from various countries attended the event.

Ambassador Cao pointed out in his speech that the Chinese economy withstood pressure and grew by 5.4 percent year on year in the first quarter of 2025. The sustained growth of a resilient, innovative and better structured Chinese economy is powered by surging innovative capabilities and dynamism, continuous unleashing of its super-sized market potential and emerging new industries, business forms and business models. The Chinese government is committed to attracting foreign investment and encouraging overseas enterprises to invest and operate in China through measures such as expanding market access, improving incentive policies and optimizing investment environment. The Chinese market is full of investment opportunities, and the Chinese Embassy in Singapore will continue to provide support and facilitation for economic and trade exchange between China and Singapore.

Participants of the event spoke highly of China's economic prospects and had panel discussions on the present and future opportunities of China's bond and financial market.
