Chinese Ambassador to the Maldives Kong Xianhua Pays Courtesy Call on Maldivian Minister of Health Mr. Abdulla Nazim Ibrahim

On June 19, Chinese Ambassador to the Maldives H.E. Mr. Kong Xianhua paid a courtesy call on Mr. Abdulla Nazim Ibrahim, Minister of Health of the Maldives.

Ambassador Kong noted that both China and the Maldives place the well-being of their people as a top priority. In recent years, bilateral cooperation in the health sector has achieved remarkable progress. China stands ready to continue doing its utmost to support the Maldives in strengthening its public health system, so that the Maldivian people can access high-quality medical services without having to go abroad. He reaffirmed China's commitment to working with the Maldives to accelerate the implementation of the important consensus reached by the two heads of state and to jointly build a China-Maldives community with a shared future.

Minister Nazim warmly welcomed Ambassador Kong to the Maldives and expressed appreciation for China’s long-standing support to the country’s healthcare development. He expressed hope that China would continue to assist in improving medical services in the Maldives and further energize the friendly cooperation between the two countries through enhanced health cooperation.
