Chinese Ambassador to PNG Yang Xiaoguang Attends the Open House Day of Chinese Embassy

On June 25, the Chinese Embassy in PNG held the Open House Day event. Chinese Ambassador Yang Xiaoguang attended the event and delivered a speech. More than 150 PNG friends including officials from the Department of Prime Minister, the Department of Defense and other government agencies, PNG alumni in China, teachers and students of Butuka Academy, and media and internet influencers, attended the event.

Ambassador Yang introduced China’s development achievements in the fields including economy, technology, and people’s livelihood, emphasizing that China has always adhered to opening up, implemented the Three Global Initiatives proposed by President Xi Jinping, actively promoted the building of a community with a shared future for mankind, and shared the dividends of development with PNG and other countries. Ambassador Yang reviewed the achievements of exchanges and cooperation between China and PNG in recent years, and stated that China is willing to continue traditional friendship with PNG, deepen practical cooperation, and promote the relations between the two countries to a new height.

During the event, Ambassador Yang awarded prizes to the winners of the “China in My Eyes” painting competition held by the Embassy. The guests experienced cultural activities such as calligraphy, traditional Hanfu clothing, lacquer fans, tea tasting, pitch-pot, traditional Chinese medicine, and watched grappling boxing, Sichuan opera face-changing, and Chinese song and dance performed by PNG students. The whole event was filled with warmth and friendship.
