On July 2, 2025, the Chinese Embassy in Samoa held a farewell & welcome reception for Chinese Medical Teams to Samoa.

Chinese Ambassador Fei Mingxing delivered the opening remarks, acknowledging the Samoan government’s and the National Hospital’s support for Chinese Medical Teams (CMTs), fully recognizing the 23rd team’s achievements and encouraging the 24th team to build on this progress.

Caretaker Prime Minister Fiame expressed gratitude for China’s assistance, presented certificates of acknowledgement to 23rd CMT and warmly welcomed the new team.

About 50 people, including Samoan government officials from the Ministry of Health and Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, members from the 23rd and 24th CMT, specialists from the National Hospital and local media, attended the event.
