Ambassador Yang elaborated on the one-China Principle, the historical merits and legal basis of Taiwan's belonging to China since ancient times, and emphasized that the authority of UN General Assembly Resolution 2758 brooks no dispute or challenge, and firmly opposed any form of "Taiwan independence". Ambassador Yang commended the consistent position of Lesotho on supporting the one-China principle and answered questions from the members of parliament on issues such as the historical status quo of the Taiwan question, economic and trade cooperation and people-to-people exchanges across the Taiwan Strait.

The Right Honorable Speaker Sekhamane said that the seminar deepened the National Assembly's understanding of the Taiwan question, and reaffirmed Lesotho's continued firm support for the one-China Principle and China’s complete reunification.
