Ambassador Yang Xiaokun visited local textile enterprises on June 2. He inspected the workshops and obtained a first-hand understanding of their business conditions. He urged the enterprises to operate in accordance with laws and regulations, fulfill their social responsibilities, keep communicating with the Lesotho government and relevant departments, and jointly address production difficulties caused by tariffs and other factors, so as to play an active role in the economic development and social stability of Lesotho.

The enterprises comprehensively introduced the challenges faced by the Lesotho textile industry and their development plans. They will actively seek ways to tap potential, strengthen communication with the Lesotho authorities, and work together to mitigate the negative impacts such as reduced employee income caused by external factors. They will also explore diverse markets to achieve sustainable development.
