On July 8, the Chinese Consulate General in New York Hosted an Open House Event for Local Communities. Nearly 150 neighbors and representatives from midtown Manhattan attended the event.

In his speech, Consul General Chen Li highlighted that in Chinese culture, a harmonious neighborhood is not only a source of personal happiness but the foundation for a stable society. Just like two neighbors across the Pacific Ocean, China and the U.S. can learn from each other and benefit from win-win cooperation. When China-U.S. relations are strong, both peoples enjoy their lives, and the world enjoys greater stability.

Artists performed Chinese songs, dances and Sichuan Opera, drawing warm applause from the audience. At the event, guests also attended the exhibition marking the 80th Anniversary of the WWII victory.
