On July 22, Yin Chengwu, Chinese Ambassador to Liberia attended the Dedication Ceremony of the Newly Renovated Maternity Ward Triage Unit at the Bomi Government Hospital and delivered a speech. H.E. Joseph Nyuma Boakai, President of the Republic of Liberia, H.E. Kartumu Yarta Boakai, First Lady of the Republic of Liberia, attended the event.

Yin stated that the Bomi Government Hospital is one of the birthplaces of China–Liberia medical cooperation, the story of China-Liberia jointly fighting the Ebola and the COVID-19 pandemic is inspiring and China-Liberia cooperation in the field of health continues to bear abundant fruits. China is willing to  enhance cooperation with Liberia in the field of medicine and health and contribute to the development of Liberia's health cause.

Both H.E. Boakai and H.E. Kartumu thanked China’s continued support to the development of Liberia's healthcare.
