Chinese Ambassador to Malaysia Ouyang Yujing Delivers a Speech at the Young Malaysians Movement (YMM) 65th Anniversary Celebration

On July 26, the Young Malaysians Movement (YMM) 65th Anniversary Celebration was held in Kuala Lumpur. Present to deliver a speech were H.E. Ambassador Ouyang Yujing, Malaysia’s Member of Parliament YB Lee Chean Chung representing Science, Technology, and Innovation Minister YB Chang Lih Kang, YMM President Gan Pee Eng, and YMM Honorary President Lau Kuan Kam with about 600 in attendance, including representatives from various sectors, local community guests, and YMM members.

Ambassador Ouyang gave recognition to YMM for its efforts and contributions in driving China-Malaysia youth exchanges and cooperation, and telling the story of China-Malaysia friendship. Saying that the development of China-Malaysia bilateral relations has achieved fruitful results, Ouyang encouraged YMM to continue contributing its strength to promote traditional Chinese culture, enhance mutual understanding and friendship between the two countries’ youth, support China and Malaysia in their respective modernization process, and advance the building of a high-level strategic China-Malaysia community with a shared future.

YB Lee Chean Chung urged YMM to attune to the high-tech sector and continue to make greater contributions to Malaysia's economy and society, while Gan Pee Eng said they would further solidify Malaysia-China youth ties in the future.
