On August 12th, Consul General Chen Li attended and addressed the Silkroad’s Global Musician Workshop Opening Night Reception and "Nihao! China" Tourism Promotion event at the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston.

In his remarks, Chen Li highlighted that the Silk Road, stretching thousands of miles and lasting thousands of years, has nurtured the Silk Road Spirit characterized by peace and cooperation, openness and inclusiveness, mutual learning and mutual benefit. It is a precious heritage of human civilization. Through the power of music to transcend time and space, we can bring new life to the Silk Road Spirit. May the GMW become a model for international cultural exchange, and may the flowers of friendship bloom in the hearts of Chinese and American people!
The event was co-hosted by Silkroad and the China National Tourist Office in New York. As part of the program, the China National Tourist Office launched a "Nihao! China" promotional campaign to boost inbound tourism to China. At the concert held after the reception, musicians from around the world delivered captivating performances. Through a rich tapestry of musical styles, they vividly interpreted the spirit of the Silk Road.
