On 12 August, H.E. Wang Yu, Chinese Ambassador to Somalia, met with H.E. Mohamed Adam Moalim Ali, Minister of Communications and Technology of Somalia. The two sides exchanged views on enhancing cooperation in the information and communications technology (ICT) sector.

Ambassador Wang noted that China stands ready to share with Somalia the opportunities arising from digital economy, supporting Somalia’s national reconstruction efforts.

Minister Mohamed expressed appreciation for China's scholarship programme and capacity-building support, affirming Somalia's commitment to deepening practical cooperation with China.
